This month, Mr. Helmi Kittani, CJAED Director, and Ms. Alona Sold, Mevo Carmel Project manager, participated in the official ceremony that launched the Mevo Carmel Industrial Park.
The ceremony, that was conducted on top of a hill overlooking the valley where the industrial park will be established, began with a speech by the council's engineer that provided the audience with a professional overview of the park.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Shalom Simchon, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor. Mr. Simchon talked about the importance of the park, the partnership between the local authorities and the strategic location of the park. Mr. Simchon promised to support locating factories from the center of Israel to join the park.

The mayors of Yokneam, Megiddo Regional Council, Daliyat el-Carmel and Usfiya all spoke about the importance of partnership, cooperation and the need to develop employment in the area, which is what CJAED's Mevo Carmel project has been doing and will continue to do. The close proximity of the park to Route 6 will help in these efforts.
The ceremony was also attended by members of the local authorities, local residents, organizations and partners.

Following the ceremony, initial development of the land began and it is expected that by January 2012, 180 Dumans of the park will be marketed.
