19 Arab men and women from across Israel graduated the Arab employment counselors’ course. The course was part of the program initiated by Jasmine, the association of businesswomen within the Center for Jewish-Arab Economic Development (CJAED) in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor (MOIT) and is a part of the national effort now underway in Israel aimed at integrating the Arab population into the mainstream Israeli labor market. The course included 16 women and three men who were carefully selected. They all had promising academic profiles, with BAs and MAs in education, social sciences and behavioral science. Aside from these requirements, participants were also selected based on previous successful practical experience in community work and their personal commitment to the cause.
